Visit to ‘Third Eye Cafe’ was organized by Yes I Can team. Third Eye Cafe, located in Navi Mumbai, India, is the only restaurant where transgender employees are recruited.

Aim behind this visit was to remove biases and misconceptions about transgender from children’s mind and make them their friends.

Through this visit students were sensitized on accepting them, involving them as a part of community.

Before the visit, special awareness session was organized for children to prepare them for the visit and to give them inputs on lives of transgender populations and how important it is include them in our society and accept them.

‘I was little nervous for meeting transgender people. As i had heard many stories about them from others and I got afraid. However meeting them was a wonderful experience and it helped me to remove misconceptions in my mind about them. Now they are my friends and I am going to share this with my family proudly.
