We all change lots of our personal things all the time. We dye our hair and do change various diet regimes to lose weight.
Some take steroids to build their muscles and some get their breast implants and nose jobs done so they would resemble their favourite movie stars.
Many of them change names, houses, cars, jobs and husbands and wives.
Some of them change religions and political parties.
And some moved across the country or the world and even change their nationalities.
-Why are the transgender, looked upon differently, when they change their dressings to female clothing.
-Why are they not given jobs?
-Why are they given a different look?
-Why are not being bought in the main stream?
-Why are they not accepted in our society?
-Why are they not supposed to change their gender?
-What is their fault if they feel like a female from inside?
It is indeed a natural thing. A female soul trapped in Male body.
Actually we all are hypocritical in some or the other way.
I had been associated with Yes I can Foundation from past two years. I had been fortunate, to meet these transgender and teach them some basic conversational English and etiquette.
It was so sad to hear their personal stories, their struggle with their body, and their struggle with parents and siblings at home, the bullying at the school and in the society as well.
Their emotional breakdown when their parents couldn’t accept them as a transgender in our so called sophisticated society which is abide by rules.
I thank from the bottom of my heart to Yes I Can Foundation who gave me this opportunity to do my bit for the transgender to give them status in our society.
Apart from teaching them , I could listen to their stories , could see their stress, hence sometimes I used to do their Counselling too.
Recently in an event, I got a chance to give them some recognition and interact with people for what they are doing for living .
Hats off to Yes I Can foundation for recognising the Transgenders giving them training in Beauty Parlour course, providing links for jobs for transgender as well for physically challenged people too.
Thank you Yes I Can Foundation. You are doing a wonderful things for all these transgenders , the Underprivileged students and also for the Old aged people.
One day you will get the reward from the almighty for what all the deeds you are doing today.
Best wishes always.
